yes, I have read many spiritual books and this issue and they all lead to some type of punishment. if you comment suicide than you'll be reincarnated only to re-do or re-learn your lesson. Hadith(Muslim) says: the person will be given the same poision or iron he use to kill himself with in hell-fire only to re-do to him self over and over again. if a person can kill himself in hell-fire than how is hell-fire suppose to cleanse him? But God says, even this act is forgive able so long as no idol assocation, sorry :)

Wanting to jump off a building or hang yourself on the ceiling doesn't mean you're a horrible person and should be locked away in the fires for eternity. Instead, it means there's something wrong in your body or your life and you don't know how else to end the pain. That you need someone compassionate enough to show you where to go to find the happiness.

well personally, i dont believe in eternal anything after death. and actually, i had an argument with a very religious person who said that suicide is all in gods plan, and that they died because they desrved it, so in that case, isnt it unfair of god to punish them for all eternity if he made them? of course, they also turned around and wanted to damn a band to hell for a faint connection between them and a girls suicide because THEY made her commit suicide, so i dont really know how much weight to put into their argument...

Well I'd like to say no. But I know that when you murder yourself it's still murder. And you can repent from it once you're dead. It's probably yes. But I'm not God.

I believe that God is all forgiving, and I believe that He forgives those who are in dire straits and mentally disturbed who take their own lives. One cannot be sane and in their right mind to take their own life....

NO they are given special places in heaven and all the cake & ice cream they can eat.So if you are planning on hurting someone in a movie theater or raping some woman or a child DON'T just kill yourself and come home the cake is waiting for you......Love GOD

I was raised to believe they would, but in my heart of hearts I'm torn about that. I'd think no.
