I think that Jesus most likely was an actual person. He may not have performed miracles, but he was at least an actual person.

People seem to think that christ was the last name for Jesus... there were many
Christs throughout history in mythology,,
Christ (Greek Χριστός (Khristós) 'anointed') is a translation of the Hebrew מָשִׁיחַ (Māšîaḥ), the Messiah,

The title of Christ was voted on at the council of nicea in 325 CE and it was then that the title of christ was given the fabled Jesus......

It's possible he was a real person. If he was real, I think he was just a spiritual teacher, perhaps just trying to give hope to those who lost it.

He may be a composite of 100 or so proclaimed messiahs of the time. They were a dime a dozen at that time and others throughout history. But there is no proof that the one spoken of in the bible ever existed. Noting historically or archaeologically at all. No one that supposedly knew him can be proven to have written one word about him. No other contemporary sources ever mention him.

Here is a non-biblical source from 63A.D that mentions Christians. This was before there was a new testament or gospel. Who are these Christians following, and what inspired their religion if not Jesus?

I don't know the specifics of Greek mythologies but i would assume that someone wrote a religious document or that they had some kind of religious reference to base their belief of Isis on. Before the new testament what religious reference did Christians have other than Christ?

Good point, however, 30years is still not that far in the past. I would think that the people living 30years after Jesus would still have an good idea of the events that occurred 30 years ago.

First off in 63CE (has not been AD for years) jesus as believed in was dead. So at best this is conjecture or hearsay about christians not jesus. Not one word about the mythical man was written by anyone that knew him or until years, decades, centuries later

I will admit that the christian religion was surviving on hearsay at this point. But, what was the source of this hearsay? People don't just up and start believing in something for no reason.

Keep in mind this was not too long after his death, there were still people around during that time that were also alive during Jesus's life. There were enough people who were alive during Jesus's time still around to be able to vouch that at least they were following a real person.

you don't know that. there is not one single mention of this guy who performed miracles,attracted vast crowds ,etc etc by any historians who LIVED at that time. and i mean between the yrs 30-33 c.e.

If Jesus was real, then there were definitely people alive after his death that were also alive during his life. If Jesus isn't real, then when people started believing in him 30 years after his supposed death, there should have been enough people around and physical evidence of him at the time to discredit their beliefs

your problem is ,you are trying to ascribe 21st century thinking to 1 st century people. it won't work. people were extremely superstitious then. and anyone could start a cult and gain followers if given the right stories. the people at the time didn't go by physical proof to say someone was real or not. they accepted someones word for it.

Also, even then they had enough sense to understand the past. If someone (incorrectly) told them that the city they lived in was something different 30 years ago i don't think they would buy it.

Because people were more easily influenced, but not as easily as you think. Those other cults didn't base their beliefs on a historical person or things that happened recently, they were just a series of superstitions that at the time made sense to the people that believed in them.
