Both pleasure and dicipline in a relationship.

Do you mean spanking as in a sexual situation? Or, spanking a child for misbehaving?
I know people do engage in spanking as part of their sexual activities. I don't care for it myself but as long as no one gets carried away and hurts someone else, I don't see a problem with it.
Regarding spanking children for misbehaving, NO I would never spank or hit a child for any reason. There are many other ways to communicate disapproval of behavior and I would never, ever say it was all right to hit a child.

There is absolutely nothing wrong with spanking....note, I said spanking not beating...there is a distinct difference and people seem to have lost sight of that.

When I was a little guy growing up I would get spanked all the time if I messed up. All my friends did. These days you're not supposed to spank your kids so we've now got a whole lot of kids out there that are snotty little brats that are gonna be big problems when they grow up.

Only when it is done properly with several things like the kids age, clothing, number of swats are taken into consideration. One has to also be consistent for it to be an effective punishment. For example if you spank your child for getting a spanking at school and a couple of weeks later your child gets spanked at school again, then you need to give your child another spanking. Also remember there is a big difference between spanking a child and beating one.

Exactly! And you're also correct about the consistancy of the punishment. If the child does something wrong to get spanked on a Mon. and then does the same thing the very next Thu. then the punishment should be the same. When they find out they're gonna get it when they mess up then they will more than likely start straightening up and flying right so they don't need to be disciplined.
