It already does, but I think they should be more concerned about the trolls and sock puppets on here.

If profanity insults you, maybe you shouldn't be on the Internet in the first place.

I am never in favor of censorship - it is a very slippery slope with very dire consequences.

I do want to stress however, that this is my opinion. The owner(s) of sodahead have the right to run their website as they choose.

Some folks get confused by this distinction. You have a Constitutional right to freedom of speech, but others are under no obligation to provide you with a platform from which to exercise that right. Whoever owns / runs sodahead has been kind enough to provide this website for our use. I thank them for that.

It would help, cause it does not take a whole lot of intelligence to use profanity.

I don't think there should be a profanity filter that's turned on by default but in the same sense I don't see anything wrong with a filter being available as a option for those who take offense from swear words, etc.

I personally don't care for it. It's a form of censorship.

Profanity makes things more interesting XD

But seriously, if a cuss word offends you, you probably shouldn't even be on the internet.

Well, it really depends on whether or not it's customizable. If it is, go ahead, make a filter. If it isn't, then no. People should have the right to express themselves, even if it is profane.

What needs to be taken care of, are people with foul languages.
This is not what respecting is all about. U can say your comments without using them

Evidently it does, for those who are easily offended by what they consider foul language. Personally, I think people need to get over being so "thin-skinned" on an opinion site, and quit running to the moderators over everything that offends them.

Profanity is part of everyday language and should not be censored here or anywhere.
