Do you think sex under 18 yrs of age is to young?

mature teenagers like myself (not all) can find a person they would marry any moment, any day ... love has no age, ask some of the older generation folks who probably conceived at the age of 16 if anybody thought they were too young... it's a stupid and biased assumption that every teenager is misinformed and irresponsible, because I am on the pill and every day for the past year I take it at 1pm (not a minute earlier, not a minute less), better that most "adults" who end up knocked up and begging for child support. With that said, being an "Adult" doesn't qualify you to have sex either, it is a weak premise if you weight in that there are million of dysfunctional families in America.

No not really cuz no matter wat you do teens are still gonna have sex. An anyways if you are (for example)15 yrs old you make up you mind wether you want to have sex or not so no it is not to young

Probably, but how are you going to stop it and who wants the sex police? All you can do is threaten ... oops I mean talk to your kids from an early age about the benefits of waiting and what safe sex means.

Well, it depends on the way you take the situation. If you are truely in love with that person, then its fine. But if your doing it because of pressure or whatever the reason may be, its not right.

age is a number, it depends on the maturity of the person involved

Because it is an adult decision and is meant for people willing to consider having a child or in a stable enough situation to handle all the consequences, such as pregnancy, STIs and the maturity to use protection.

18, no. 14 yes. There is all this talk in the media about how having sex at too young an age (15, 16, that age group) scars kids for life, but that depends on the person, some are mature enough to handle it, some arent.

I think it's too young for many of the consequences of sex, but 18 isn't a magic age. It's about how you are raised, your experiences. Two generations ago, by 18 you were married, you likely had at least one kid, and you were considered an adult... but you also lived with at least one generation, if not two, so you had a ton of support, and your life expectancy wasn't great.

I know for a fact my just turned 18year old son is having sex with his girlfriend - I also know he's being responsible (I drilled that into his head from the time he was old enough to understand he could do more than pee with that bit that dangled.)

It's about consent, and understanding, and a whole ton of ethical and emotional bits and pieces... and if you have to ask "am I too young for sex?" the answer is probably yes.

Sex isn't just physical act, it has emotions and these are hard enough for us to deal with some times as adults... our children shouldn't be playing with fire. There are too many consequences, and prenancy and STD'S are just the icing on that cake.

don't use up the body and screwing around and sharing of others people. young don't understand that they can wait till someone special to be marry. why do it before marry? multiply with experience intend to end up sky high divorce because of experience and confuse and dream about it etc. it is too effective and too early and jump too fast. young should be respect their body and mind till they get older and then able to wisdom enough not to screw around and get gross out. have you ever see a not even a year old dog got pregnancy and it is horrible to look at innocent young dog. concept with young people too.

being that young, the only thing you should be putting your mind and efforts into is schooling and/or a job!
sex is always going to be there and it's only getting more and more difficult to have safe sex and to find a suitable partner.
since so many people are having sex at such a young age, I know for a fact that I sure as hell don't want to have a partner that has had dozens of others they've had sex with.............it's really quite disgusting if you truly think about it!

Children raising (or trying to raise) children is no way to start life.

when you entangle your
soul with sex at such a young age it's so hard to over come that..so many emotions and feelings go into the whole love process. that at such a young age its impossiable to process and channell that emotion..not to mention if protection isn't used and a child is produced from the situation, even more difficult to handle.

Well, I only believe in sex after marriage and technically you can't get married until you are 18 anyway.
But putting the marriage card away, anyone under 18 is not mature enough to start a family. People wnat the benefits and the fun, but not what happens later. They don't want any responsibility for their actions

I'm a ehh..on this subject. i lost mine @ 17, But, at the same time I didnt want to be preggo at a young age, hence why i waited longer then my friends did,

but each person is different my husband lost his at 12,
and being a parent,if my children did it at 12 id be killing both my child and their partner,,(not in the actual death sense but in the ill be raising holy hell with both my child and that child and that child's parents,) but at the same time If they are to have sex,because i can only instill good morals and values in my children i cant control their every move, I would want them to at least be protected while doing it.. make sense? goh i hope so..such a touchy subject..

Teenagers are too young to raise children. Every child deserves parents who are mature and financially responsible and able to provide the necessities of life. Keep in mind, when a girl has sex and doesn't get pregnant, it means it didn't work.

If the girl doesnt get pregnant it means it didnt work. What kind of nonsense is that. What about condoms and birth control, so that they dont get pregnant. Although i hear all the time how teens dont use them, there are a lot who are smart enough to and do.
