This was an editorial written in the local newspaper here called The Guardian. Ella Cropper, the author of this article, claims that TSTT (Telecommunications Services of Trinidad and Tobago) is to blame for the increase in teenage pregnancies.

It can lead to that. It is a part of the seduction process. This allows them to grow closer to each other and both become more comfortable with the topic of sex and the idea of having it. The call itself will not cause it, obviously, and that isn't what I'm saying, but it can most certainly lead to it.
