Most natural remedies don't do anything at all.

On minor things such as sniffles, digestive upset, etc. they can work wonders as long as the severity isn't too great. Guess I'd better check into these remedies and become familiar as our physicians may be prescribing this sort of stuff soon.

Natural Rememdies were traditional medicine. What is called traditional is pretty much poisoning as far as drugs go.

In general, yes. Though there have definitely been advances that are beneficial in modern medicine

Some herbal cures like hot tea and honey work for many ailments, but most traditional medicine can be traced to the orginal herbal cures. The crap that's on TV with all the side effects make me very leery . They are mostly there to make the big Pharma cos. and their stockholders wealthy .

Some natural remedies work others are just hype. A combination of natural and man made drugs need to be prescribed in tandem.

Scientists are discovering the value of certain vitamins and of traditional acupuncture. Still, for serious illnesses, I'll take traditional medicine, thanks.

I'm sure there are natural things that make people BETTER, but sometimes there's just no substitute, especially for things like Epinepherin. depends natural people substitute epinepherin

Some do, other don't. It also depends on the person taking them. Each person has different reactions/susceptibilities to meds, making each person's response to them different.

The problem with most natural remedies is overall regulation. Sometimes, they just aren't safe.

One must be careful with some natural meds, some do more harm than their purported good, but there is much to be learned from tribal societies. Too bad we're bulldozing all the vegetation before we know what it can do for us.

    It would probably depend on..

    A) What you are trying to cure

    B) How serious of a case it is

Some of the traditional remedies for say a headache are well-known, and may fail. I've never had a Tylenol fail on me.

I think it depends on what it is for.
Herbs sometimes work better than medicines, and medicines sometimes work better than herbs. It really depends.

Alot of the times herbal remedies work just as well as prescriptions.
There are some things that herbs and berries cant heal though.

I think it's ridiculous to say that one is better than the other, when used in conjunction the two approaches together offer the best benefits.

I've had a few natural remedies that worked a lot better than any medication I could buy. My friend whips up her cold remedy every year and I swear it really helps me out.
