However, the influence money has on someone depends highly on who that person is. Someone who's predisposed to greed, jealously, and other vices is more easily enraptured by the Benjamins than someone who's predisposed to charity, selflessness, and other virtues. The same applies for celebrities, politicians, and other wealthy people who don't have to work as hard to get a certain sum of money as regular people who are less famous.

Too much money will either make you stingy with others or you just blow it. Seems to make people think they are better than someone who doesn't have as much.

well, not the little people.
i just graduated, got 4000 for college from my mom from child support, and have a great job (for a teen, atleast)
and if anything, i spend less. lol

besides me getting my nails done every 2 weeks.

I think that it definitely gives greater confidence and thus may turn into pomp and arrogance. However, It should be noted that some people never change or they become better people

Some people maybe. For the most part, if you come into sudden wealth and a bunch of people know about it, it is those people who will change more than you!

For many it does. It either makes them better or extremely worse. It can bring happiness only if you don't let it rule your life. I have never desired to be rich as it is more than a full time job to get rich, than you have to retain it, and than worry about who is going to try and take it away from you. Way too much bother for me.

While it has been known to, people that have won a lottery, there are also people that come into a lot of money that do not change at all. For them life simply is easier.

For people that earn a lot of money over time I think it is more life experiences and association that changes them and, with us all, that can be for the good or bad, depending.

Some, just a poverty changes some. There are nasty people in every financial group.

I have know many people of great wealth and the vast majority were great people and did so much good for the less fortunate. In fact, I can only think of one who did not do well, drugs etc but drugs do not seem to be only the problem of the wealth - seems to be a non-class problem.

The meanest and cruelest people I have ever met were not wealthy

I think the government should sponsor a study on this by giving me 100 million dollars and testing to see if it changes me. I am willing to suffer the consequences so that all my fellow Americans never have to suffer through anything like that.
