I've wonder what are the people perceptions.

Do you think there's a difference in why we want sex, just based on our gender ?

I don't think so, women are pushed by social rules to be seen like that.

We, as individuals, choose our value, it's not a gender issue

    In my opinion, society/media portrays guys as the problem. That all guys want is sex. Only guys use girls for sex when in fact girls do the same thing. Some guys are sensitive and when they have sex it is because they really love this person. With the girl it could be the same thing. Gender doesn't matter it just depends on the person.

    I think in general men seek sex for sex, and women for the emotion. Obviously this isn't true for everyone, of course. It's more about how men and women are wired differently.

    everyone is different... even when in a relationships, doesn't always have to be emotional/ intimate sex LOL sorry i'm going to be very blunt here but even in relationships it's good to have good F**k without all that emotional stuff! gotta keep the sex life going ;)

    Women may be more interested in the emotional part than men, but that's not why they seek it imo. Partly it's natural -- and there's no emotion in that part. :)

    I do believe that quite a few men are more likely to have sex for sex's sake than women, though this is not true for me, and many men I know.

    I suspect it is individual. As a young man sex for the sake of sex was important but now I am older sex alone is not enough. I have to have an emotional attachment to my partner.

    I've met all kinds of people with no clear cut answers for men or women.

    I think normal people want an emotionally fulfilling relation that can go someplace but some people are too young for that or not ready for it. They still want to test the waters and play house or Don Juan or something.

    There could be many reasons for how people interact though.

    I cant have sex with someone if I dont have some kind of emotional and intellectual connection with them. It just...does not work that way for me
