Do you think liberalism is a mental disorder?

Liberals get mad over a CEO saying homosexuality is wrong and they still employ them and treat them fairly. They get mad when people want to set up a nativity scene and celebrate the life of Jesus who preached love and peace.
They don't get mad when muslims kill homosexuals or say if you don't convert to islam they will kill you. Tell me, what's wrong with these people?

Leading Psychiatrist Says Liberalism is a Psychological Disorder
Liberals clinically mad, concludes top psychiatrist
Eminent doctor makes case leftist ideology is a mental disorder

WASHINGTON – Just when liberals thought it was safe to start identifying themselves as such, an acclaimed, veteran psychiatrist is making the case that the ideology motivating them is actually a mental disorder.
“Based on strikingly irrational beliefs and emotions, modern liberals relentlessly undermine the most important principles on which our freedoms were founded,” says Dr. Lyle Rossiter, author of the new book, “The Liberal Mind: The Psychological Causes of Political Madness.” “Like spoiled, angry children, they rebel against the normal responsibilities of adulthood and demand that a parental government meet their needs from cradle to grave.”
While political activists on the other side of the spectrum have made similar observations, Rossiter boasts professional credentials and a life virtually free of activism and links to “the vast right-wing conspiracy.”
For more than 35 years he has diagnosed and treated more than 1,500 patients as a board-certified clinical psychiatrist and examined more than 2,700 civil and criminal cases as a board-certified forensic psychiatrist. He received his medical and psychiatric training at the University of Chicago.
Rossiter says the kind of liberalism being displayed by both Barack Obama and his Democratic primary opponent Hillary Clinton can only be understood as a psychological disorder.
“A social scientist who understands human nature will not dismiss the vital roles of free choice, voluntary cooperation and moral integrity – as liberals do,” he says. “A political leader who understands human nature will not ignore individual differences in talent, drive, personal appeal and work ethic, and then try to impose economic and social equality on the population – as liberals do. And a legislator who understands human nature will not create an environment of rules which over-regulates and over-taxes the nation’s citizens, corrupts their character and reduces them to wards of the state – as liberals do.”
Dr. Rossiter says the liberal agenda preys on weakness and feelings of inferiority in the population by:
* creating and reinforcing perceptions of victimization;
* satisfying infantile claims to entitlement, indulgence and compensation;
* augmenting primitive feelings of envy;
* rejecting the sovereignty of the individual, subordinating him to the will of the government.
“The roots of liberalism – and its associated madness – can be clearly identified by understanding how children develop from infancy to adulthood and how distorted development produces the irrational beliefs of the liberal mind,” he says. “When the modern liberal mind whines about imaginary victims, rages against imaginary villains and seeks above all else to run the lives of persons competent to run their own lives, the neurosis of the liberal mind becomes painfully obvious.”

Exactly.
Good one, K.
Show me a politician who isn't, though?
;-)
Did you bother to google him? I did. He is not "virtually free" of the right wing. He has many connections to the right. That in and of itself is no big deal but something else made me suspicious. Most of the information on Dr. Rossiter, even the articles that have nothing to do with his book, is blatantly skewed either to the right or to the left. That makes me question how un-biased his opinion is.
It's an interesting idea that extreme liberalism, or extreme conservatism for that matter, could be a mental disorder but I wouldn't trust this book as an impartial examination of that question.
Interesting question though DizziNY.
That's exactly the problem;
This is NOT a game.
If you don't like America, planes leave everyday you know.
Myopic 'cheer-leading' idiots will be the death of us ALL.
Liberals ignore limits. If an idea is really good, it's OK to disregard the dirty details of implementation. The concepts of cost, time, and side effects can all be ignored if it means accomplishing something really good. Does anyone remember how much it cost or how long it took to build the Golden Gate Bridge? No. And yet thousands of cars cross the bridge every day. To the liberals, there are a lot of Golden Gate Bridges out there.
Moderates and conservatives have a sense of skepticism. For every Golden Gate Bridge, the government builds a pork-barrel Murtha Airport, shrimp are placed on underwater treadmills to see how they run, and subsidies are thrown at political favorites. Everything costs more than budget, and only a fraction of government projects provide any return on investment at all.
Along comes Obamacare and the process is on display. Liberals envision a world in which everyone has health insurance and all health conditions are treated. The cost and the side effects are to be ignored. Conservatives see many ways for that to go wrong -- starting with the cost, the loopholes, and the economic impact.

It is not a coincidence that younger people tend to be liberal, turning conservative as they get older. Every time one of these grand government plans goes horribly wrong, a few people wake up to the concept of limits and common sense.
It's OK to dream. But do it with your own money.
I loved reading your research.
