but made himself of no reputation, taking the form of a servant, and coming in the likeness of men.
And being found in appearance as man, He humbled himself and became obedient to the point of death, even the death of the cross.
He is despised and rejected of men; a man of sorrows, and acquainted with grief: and we hid as it were our faces from him; he was despised, and we esteemed him not.
Surely he hath borne our griefs, and carried our sorrows: yet we did esteem him stricken, smitten of God, and afflicted.
But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed.
From what I've read and been told, Jesus was tortured and then forced to drag a large wooden cross across miles of rocky terrain, then nailed to it and dying of either exposure due to his extensive wounds, or starvation. Based on this knowledge, I'd say he did suffer as a man. Anyway, I personally do not believe in any religion, so I'm only answering this because I do know a lot of Christianity, as I have done research on plenty of religions.
