The "Christians" you speak of must be from the tribe of those grasping onto the old testament, extremist "Christians" who like to pretend there was never a New Testament and therefore the teachings of Jesus do not apply. Which is why I use quotation marks on the word Christian. They may proclaim loudly to be Christian but they do not follow His teachings.

The Bible is pretty controversial in certain areas and in those areas it's often interpreted in different ways.

Of course there's nothing wrong with that, we're all the same underneath. We're all humans, we all live and die and are all alone together. Life is just too short for pointless hatred and non-forgiveness, we should all love and empathise with each other as fellow human beings because we only have each other. All humans are exactly the same, just different forms of the same thing, to hate another person is to hate yourself, it is pointless.

Do be clear the bible talks about not being unequally yoked, its connotation is a religious one. But no it isn't wrong.

I am a christian and it is not wrong to date outside your race. That passage that they was talking about was before Jesus died on the cross. After his death on the cross he made us all equal. Adam and Eve is all of our parents.
