Yes, the majority of men don't have to think of the possibility of being raped when walking to the car. Also, men can expect to be paid what they're worth, unless theres another form of discrimination at hand. It's easier to be a man in the workplace, especially a single man. Single women do not often receive the respect that single men do. Women are expected to 'let men down easily' and always be receptive to their advances, but the same is not said of men. When a woman wants to have sex with different people she is called a slut, but most of the time it's accepted for a man to do so. It's easier to be a man, unless you already face discrimination based on race or sexuality etc.

The trouble with all of this is that we are still trying to get half ton pickups to do the job of 1 ton pickups and still use the same amount of gas. It just doesn't work that way.
The only arena in which men and women really compete for jobs is basic labor. Management positions (the real ones, not the "I don't steal from the safe and I'm good at counting money, so I'm the manager" jobs) make their own fates via performance that doesn't require brawn. If a woman does fail at this for "womanly" reasons, it would be due to her inability to shrug off compassion and simply fire someone's lazy ass or demand a better source product price from a vendor or the like.
I read a report about how female CEO's don't make as much as their male counterparts. Well, get with the program! Your the freakin' head of your company, so what seems to be the hold up? Maybe you are too sentimental/emotional or whatever about what your underlings are getting paid. All you have to do is balance what you're selling with what your paying to have it made to be competitive. If that's not working, maybe you need some tech upgrades or something.

I don't think a woman's "emotions" would affect any of it, I agree with most of the things you are saying, but I think that's the reason why women get paid less.

Yea i see i have stumbled across this crazy post. Sigh. As of not even a hundred years ago, we get our rights and we have done some outstanding things, but come on. We have it made int he shade now. Sure, we may have things go on in our life that are trying. But they are not as bad as they were not even a hundred years ago. You do not see us, being forced to marry someone we do not know nor love. We are not forced into abusive relationships, we have jobs now, we can do what we want and we have an education now. So what i dont get is why keep whining that we have it harder? I mean come on, every person have a hard time in their life, once or maybe a lot.Who knows but that person. Just need to be grateful that now, we can do so many things we want and think of it like that. :P

Every one of your male counterparts will raped of his freedom at age 18 when the government forces him to turn over his life to selective service. As a female you will never know that powerlessness of being forced to go to war. Not that your situation is good but many men would rather be physically raped once than be forced to a lifetime of subjugation by the government.

thank you Truth :) it's hard to NOT judge every guy as uncaring animals only looking for sex in a woman, but I'm trying to take each person individually and see deeper than what sex they are. It's hard if you want to make it that way. Today, it's not too bad. But in general history, it's quite obvious that women have had it rough. And I think the general population still does, but not nearly as bad as it could be. Then again there are still things like your period and pregnancy for women to have to put up with, which will never go away.
