Bibliophilic 2012/07/13 23:08:21Yes, but it is getting better+23Yes, the majority of men don't have to think of the possibility of being raped when walking to the car. Also, men can expect to be paid what they're worth, unless theres another form of discrimination at hand. It's easier to be a man in the workplace, especially a single man. Single women do not often receive the respect that single men do. Women are expected to 'let men down easily' and always be receptive to their advances, but the same is not said of men. When a woman wants to have sex with different people she is called a slut, but most of the time it's accepted for a man to do so. It's easier to be a man, unless you already face discrimination based on race or sexuality etc.

it can be better
but we go in the right way
The answers to choose from don't ask if it's easier in some ways and more difficult in others.
Physically, men usually have it much easier than woman when it comes to pain, except for birth. There is another exception for even that. Both a female doctor and a number of female nurses have confirmed, there is NO pain that equals a kidney stone attack. One nurse who had two children told me that she would rather birth two more children then have a kidney stone attack.
Men usually put up with quite a bit of pain simply by ignoring it (Ankle hurts? Wrap it and keep going. Two weeks later when you can no longer deal with it, go to the doctor and find you have torn a tendon. My brother waited three days to go to a doc after he ruptured his left Achilles tendon, Duh!). Women, on average, not so much from my observations. However, if women have a goal, they seem to shift pain into a corner of their brain and totally ignore it until the project is completed.
As far as job opportunities, women now have a PC priority over men. It seems that employers think that the time a woman lost from maternity leave must be somehow compensated for. I have observed that about 75% of the time a woman and a man are...

As far as job opportunities, women now have a PC priority over men. It seems that employers think that the time a woman lost from maternity leave must be somehow compensated for. I have observed that about 75% of the time a woman and a man are both up for the same promotion, that the woman is favored, even though both have the same level of accomplishments and personal reviews.
Except, when the majority of those who are judging candidates are woman supervisors. I think women supervisors are tougher on female candidates than on male candidates.
The IQ result shouldn't be a surprise to anyone. Young women are more and more taking hard math courses, college level Chem and Biology courses and Engineering courses that introduces them to the way men (I believe the IQ tests have been skewed to men for a long time) attack problems. If you know what the rules are, you can play the game at a much more competitive level.
In feats of strength, most men can physically outperform women, but I know I'd probably get my head handed to me if I went into a boxing ring with Mohammed Ali's daughter. On the other hand, she probably would have her hands more than full with a ranked male fighter in her weight class.
Men and women have their own unique problems and strengths.
Men and women are both talented, and by keeping either sex "down" is stupidity of the highest order. Two sets of eyes, looking at a problem from two different viewpoints have at least twice the probability of solving a problem as they would by taking only one look from one point of view.
Because a strong woman is not supposed to beg for equality and
respect from cavemen. She demands it.
And you think you have the right to decide what she does or doesn't do in your presumed future relationship? I pray for you, brother.
Before I retired, I was a banker, able to put together complex loans, advise on investments help my clients build their credit, etc. - piece of cake. I learned early on that my wife (of 41 years) was much better at household finances than I was. I was ecstatic when SHE decided to take over that portion of our partnership!
