It's relatively easy for women who are interested and don't have anything obviously wrong with them to acquire some manner of boyfriend. So without some explanation for why she's disinterested or the opportunity never properly existed, well, a person defaults to having some level of sex drive and romantic desire and the question sort of implies that as well, since something like asexuality would be rather pertinent to the framing of the question.

So my mind at least would naturally turn itself to wondering what reason there was to account for her remaining single.

Um. I'm offended, considering the question was about myself. It's not 'relatively easy' to acquire a boyfriend if you're looking for a good, certain kind of guy. It's not at all about being disinterested. I just have refused to settle for guys that I know aren't right for me. Maybe it's me being shy or not being that attractive, but still..I don't think that I'm 'odd'.

"abnormal", NO.....I'd say admirable. But to be completely honest, you have to eventually get out and experience life and see what else is out there so that when you finally settle down and find the "right one", you dont want to have any regrets and contribute the high rising divorce rate in this country. Or worse, stay in a relationship that you DON'T want to be in for the sake of kids or to live up to societal norms

Are you kidding me, I am twenty and have dated zero people. I am far more abnormal in that case. It all depends on the individual. Then again a good amount of guys that I have known at least have been, what's a good word, asses. So in some cases at least, you may just be better off, be single and happy. Then once you start looking again, look to some guy that you know will treat you equally and well, and will like you for who you are and not simply what you look like.

I don't like the word abnormal. It should be normal. The woman I am dating right now has only had one other boyfriend and she is now 34 years old. She believes that it is the man's job to do the chasing, which is opposite to the cultural norm. The cultural norm also says that being a virgin is a bad thing. This woman I am dating is an awesome lady. She is very sweet, kind, loving, and considerate. She is aslo very smart, funny, and fun to be with. She is still a virgin and plans on staying a virgin until she gets married. She is awesome and I am a very lucky man to get to date her.

So much depends on the young lady. Her family, her religious views, her own thoughts and reactions to life.... Perhaps she is dismayed with the massive number of girls who have allowed themselves to be used like wornout garments. She may well be much more balanced and intelligent than her peers who have not been taught the values of true feminism, self-control and how to be a lady. No, my inclination is that she is a person who possesses self-respect, control and innate confidence.... My hat is off to her.

Yes, whoever this question is about is a weirdo and belongs in the circus. It is so abnormal that I have never even heard of 18 year olds ONLY dating one guy. this person should have totally banged at least 25 guys by the time she were 16. this person must be the most selfish person in the world, only dating 1 guy. This person's parents would be ashamed of their daughter for only being with 1 guy. Everyone knows that Daddy wants his little girl to be a dirty slut. And God forbid that person is faithful to that guy
