    Texting, yes. Talking, NO. Its intrusive and unenforceable. The NTSB failed to mention that fatalities in car crashes have actually dropped precipitously over the past few years, in fact 2010 the lowest in recorded history. They need something to do.

    They might care if they had to pay a stiff fine or God forbid killed someone while texting.

    Many states already have laws against such things. I don't see the harm in making it illegal. Granted there are many other things that could distract one while driving, texting especially takes a lot of effort and time away from the driver's attention.
