Do you think human hospitals are cheaper or more expensive than Veterinarian Hospitals?

I've been dealing with human hospitals for many years now and it seems that they keep charging more and more for what little they actually do.
I've actually had a bill that was over $400 from the hospital just for the doctor to spend less than five minutes with me and tell me to take Benadryl.
However, today a tragedy has befallen one of our family members, to some it would just be a pet, but for our family she was much more.
She had an exam, blood work, x-ray, and one overnight stay with an IV to re-hydrate her. Today we had to let her go as her condition so rapid that she would not have survived much longer, much less be in comfort. Cancer can sometimes be a cruel reminder to life's fragility.
For all the services offered, the bill the Veterinarian submitted was just shy of $400.
While I personally feel that Veterinarians have always been better when it comes to handling the emotional side of things, I can not help but wonder if their costs are high.
So for the services offered, which one is more expensive?
Perhaps it is just grief that writes this, but I am curious as to your thought.

In conclusion, the present cost-utility analysis shows that hysterectomy appears to be a cost-effective alternative, with ICER less than USD50 000,
