Chistianity was created to obsorb all pagan religions and will end up being the One World Religion during the One World Order. Look up the Euchenimical Movement.

Christianity is one of three religions coming out of the middle east. Christianity did not end Judaism and Islam has not ended both Christianity and Judaism. So I doubt any future religion will end any of these.

It may take thousands more years but I think all three will join the others on the dustbin of human history eventually. Religion is a thing of primitive man who didnt know what we know now. It helped explain the fears of the dark and speculated on how things came to be....but we have no excuses now.

Well religion has given mankind a moral code. You know like the golden rule. Now the fact that people who believe in religion tend to be among the first to break the rules does not change the fact that religion gave us a moral code. And it is not just these but all religions.

I suppose it is possible where man will evolve where there will be no need to believe in a God as mankind will have become God. That is a few years off I think. We are not far from creating life and we sure can end it, which are two powers of a God.

We knew there would be a falling away. It's no biggy. The end of the era of sin will come, then the glory of God will cover the earth like the water covers the deep blue sea!

Doubt it'll die out completely also your examples of the old Norse and Greek religions doesn't really work since those have been starting back up for decades now since Christians have stopped killing non Christians for now.

I think for this example if Christianity is relegated to the number of current believers of Greek or Norse religions, it would be effectively dead.

Thing is the numbers of those religion have been increasing at a large rate as people have been leaving larger religions especially Christianity probably half the asatruars I know (Asatru is norse paganism) used to be christian so mostlikely Christianity is gonna lose influence over time as more people become non theistic and to a lesser extent pagan.

Trends indicate that more people are rejecting all theistic religions more than are exchanging one deity for another.

Not to be too harsh, but I (along with 5k) others, saw David Copperfield fly off the stage at one of his shows.

Did he raise anyone from the dead after four days in the tomb? Turned water into wine? Cured anyone of leprosy? Fed thousands from a few loaves of bread and fishes? Calmed a storm with HIS words? Gave sight to a man who was blind from birth? Made the lame to walk? Walked on water? Came back from the dead HIMSELF?

David Copperfield never suggested that he did it through miraculous means. No fans of David Copperfield believed that his acts were miracles--did you? Has anyone started a religious movement stating that David Copperfield was god?

On the other hand, Jesus lived on the earth during a specific time period and place, and had both followers and detractors who eyewitnessed His miracuolous acts, and His claims of Deity, Not one objection to the resurrection was made by detractors, following the claims of the apostles that He had risen from the grave--In fact that is what the Christian religion is based on. All that the Jews would have had to do was drag out His stinking 50 day old carcass in order to bring Christianity to a screeching halt. Of that issue the 1st century Jews offer dead silence, in spite of the fact that they ridiculed the philosophy of Christianity--never the fact of the resurrection.
