Do you think breast implants are really a good solution for a woman's self image?

As far as I'm concerned our society has failed women. We put way too much emphasis of things like that. The sad thing is that most of the pressure to 'measure' up is from other women not men. It starts when they are young girls with developing bodies. They that are heavier on top are considered somehow superior to those that aren't.
My own daughter is considering a breast enhancement and I can tell you she is a slim, beautiful young woman and her anxiety about this just kills me!

I have also heard that when who have the breast implants can never breast feed their children. There is important for immunities from disease and to bond child to mother.

I don't know about these answers, but my mother had double mastectomies and decided to have breast implants before she went in to get ride of the cancer... She felt as if she wasn't normal so she opted for them... I'm in favor of whatever one feels to make themselves feel good... For my mother's case, I was totally supportive of her decision..

MW, I am certainly sorry to hear about your mother and hope she made a complete recovery. While the people I had in mind were people doing this for purely cosmetic reasons I'm glad that the technology and procedures were developed for those like your mom.

She's 9+ years in remission and she'd doing great... I hear ya.. I think for cosmetic reasons, it's ok if it's being done for more natural looking reasons...

BUT, that's me. I would NEVER put myself under a knife to improve my appearance to please or attract anyone. Sorry, but I pity those women who lack so much self esteem they find pride in making that obvious. Fake boobs scream "insecure" like a cobra screams danger.

But there are "counselors", "psychologists" and others who will say breast size is important because pedophiles like them small.

As for me, I'm fine with my breasts the way they are. I live in celibacy. No problem.

God damn, there are so many human parasites in the world. It's getting to the point, where I think I'd rather die of a disease than spend countless hours with repugnant, socially retarded people.
