That's how technology works. Something better comes along and replaces what was once popular. You don't see that many VHS tapes around, do you?

Something always Eclipses another thing over time.

Perhaps not today or tomorrow, but someday Facebook shall reach it's demise.

Because for some reason, another site will appeal to a different audience, a few people will sign up, and instead of it being a fad for certain people, it will morph into a self serving crowd pleaser. Then it will spread to all of their friends. Myspace didn't last long. I'm surprised facebook is still going.

Even Magic: The Gathering will die someday.

Ofcourse. The internet and people are fickle. The next big thing will probably be overseas as our government becomes more and more invasive into people's rights.

Of course another system will eventually take the place of Facebook; Americans are fickle and always want the next big thing.

Not everything revolves around Americans, you know.

True, but Facebook does. It's an american business geared largely towards an American audience.

No it's doesn't. America isn't the only First World English speaking country. If you hadn't noticed, Facebook's motto basically explains that you should use the site to connect with everybody /worldwide/.

I love Google+ hundreds of times more than Facebook. The layout, the way the organize friends. Too many people are choosing to stick with Facebook because that's where everyone else is at. Facebook is also the first site people think about when they hear "Social Networking Site".
