I'm a photographer for decades
(mostly for my fun .. although I've got Professional Training)

I don't do portraits ..
(I have an intense dislike for portraiture)

and one of the first rules I emphasize for anyone who wants to learn is this ..

RESPECT yourself and others ..
do NOT take images of people .. UNLESS they give you their express permission to photograph themselves ..

you do NOT need to be 'provocative' to get attention for your Artworks ..
