My fiance is 20 years younger than me. He has an 11yo son, I have a 19 year old son, and a 17 yo daughter. At first my kids, family and friends thought I was just sowing some wild oats after 20 years of marriage. But, contrary to what some might believe, I'm no cougar, and he doesn't have "Mommy issues", we just happened to find our better half in another age group.

i notice lots of examples above of older men/younger women. society usually has little problem with that. put the shoe on the other foot and hear the uproar. as a 59 y.o. widow, i can certainly appreciate the attractiveness of youth. if i decided to date again, it would HAVE to be a considerably younger man (have my eye on a 26 y.o. surfer, but won't pursue, nice to think on, though ;-) whether society like it or no).

It depends on the gap and the ages. A nineteen-year-old dating a fourteen-year-old VS A thirty-five-year-old dating a twenty-eight-year-old. The second has a larger gap but is much more acceptable than the first. But I say that no matter the age, once the gap is fifty years, it's too weird.

18 with someone that is 28, maybe not. 40 with someone that is 50, absolutely. 35 with an 80 year old, no.

The thing is it doesn't work the way it should. It's usually an older guy with a younger women. Seeing that women live longer than men, if it was an older women with a younger guy then it would be just about right. Oh wait, that's right men die younger than their wives because they want to :).

Because women usually want someone at least as mature as them, thus they have to go for older guys. On the other hand, men hang on to their youth, so they glamour towards younger women. It's not without exceptions, but usually that's the way it works.

When I'd divorced in 1984; I met a girl who worked next to me in the Mall; she was 20 and I was 31..we stayed together for a year; until we had to go on the road......she then realized I wouldn't be around as much; and she later married a great guy.....

Love comes in ALL forms. As long as both parties are consenting adults, not too closely related, and not endangering people in the process, then the the law has no business getting in the way.

What two adults do is their business, but would I do it?

No, I wouldn't. At my age, I'm still young enough to have fun and be hot, but a man too much younger than me, will want kids most likely, and I'm past 40. As for men much too older than me, I want someone who can keep up with me, and not be a nurse at home too. I get enough of that at work.
