Do You Really Like Vegan Food?

You!

Despite it being tasty, like many others cuisines, vegan food probably isn't your dad's favorite.

HAHAJK.COM reports:
No matter how hard he tries and your mom attempts to work it in to the weekly meal routine, your dad says he just can’t get on board with this vegan sh*t, sources say.

After months of sneaking soy meat into his breakfast, lunch and dinners, your mother says she is ready to give up because your father has made up his mind that he doesn’t like “fake beef”.

“I ain’t no goddamn rabbit,” you father says. “If I want to eat carrots, I am going to eat vegetables, I am going to eat carrots.”

Despite his complaints he is unable to tell sometimes that he is eating a tempe beef product and only after he is told he overreacts and tries to make himself throw-up. “I ain’t no hippie and I fought in war to make sure I have the right to eat whatever I want. And I want beef!”

While it is unclear which wars your father actually fought in, he remains adamant about his dislike of vegan food choices and continues to cite his love for America and real beef every chance he gets. Your mom says she will now just make vegan choices for her self and your father and his colon can both go to hell.

love america real beef chance mom vegan choices father colon

Being vegan is about having compassion for all living things who suffer just for the sake of your appetite. And you already eat everything we vegans eat. We just don't eat meat, milk or eggs. Do you know how much FDA allows?

I decided to become a vegan. Best decision I ever made. My energy levels are up, and were after just a week. I try more of a variety of food that are delicious and good for me. Visit meetyourmeat.com if you want to know why I went Vegan.

Even if you don't do it for compassion, consider the conditions/illnesses of the animals when slaughtered that you eat. Cancer sores, and pus/ infections in the meat, that you choose to put in your mouths and bodies. FDA allows this to be called pure meat. FDA allows A LOT more when it comes to your foods (pus, urine, and feces in the milk that is an ingredient in breads, pies, custards, and shakes). Vegans/vegetarians have lower risk of heart disease/cancer. What you don't know can kill you! Educate your selves. People do not need to consume animals or their secretions, and are in fact healthier by refusing to consume any of it."

You say, "Being vegan is about having compassion for all living things who suffer just for the sake of your appetite." So what the Hell should we do with all of those wild animals in Africa that depend on other animals for survival? Send them to Gitmo?

You are not a wild animal. You do not even have the same genetic make up. We are not discussing wild animals. We are discussing humans who think being a carnist is ok, but should think animal abuse and suffering is wrong. To answer your question we leave them alone because they are animals who do what they need for survival. Humans do not. All your nutrients needed for survival including b12 can be consumed with out any animal or byproduct.

Now you have the ability to buy all the foods you need with out consuming animals or their by products. Thousands of years ago people would have done their own killing on small scale farms. No overseas trades like we have now. They did not have easy access to all the food and nutrients as we do today. No factory farms where there is cruelty and inhumaine slaughter. No scientific altering. No human DNA into hogs. No dog DNA into corn. The DNA splicing is fact. Not learned on any vegan site. I learn these things by watching how stuffs made and doing simple research. What the FDA allows can be seen on any educational food production documentary or googled. CNN did a piece on it as did others. We are not calves nor kids. Milk has lactose or milk sugar. All milk is breast milk meant for that of it's species. Dogs to pups, cats to kittens, horses to foals, and humans to babies.

I killed my own animals quick and as painless as possible. I drank milk before I learned what FDA allowed in it. I have had unpastuerized milk straight from a free roaming cow and that tasted so much better than the watered down flavorless store bought. But even then the female calves followed their mothers fate and the bulls sold for meat. My chickens eggs are so much richer as real free range and organic fed. But after hearing them referred to as products of a menstruel cycle they became unappealing. My son still eats them and I don't see any harm in it because my chickens are not sick and they do not suffer. I get chickens from people who don't get as many eggs as they would like. Not from hatcheries that practice cruelty by throwing live male chicks into trash cans or grinders. Chicks born into real free settings do not need inoculations or beaks clipped.
Since learning food facts for healthy eating and I decided veganism was best for me. I took the chance to learn. I grew up hearing vegetarians are sicky, and I had never heard of a vegan. I didn't question it. Even after growing up doing the slaughtering and seeing how each animal fought for its life. They can sense death. But my parents didn't know it was unnecessary. They did not have access to the www like we do.

I can understand why you chose your preference, but most people would never choose to pass up a good steak dinner. Not to mention the cost. If Obama ever seeks the power he is trying to get, maybe all of America will be forced to become vegan. Won't happen, but even if it did, the rest of the world will continue eating what "feels" good to them. Also eating meats and other non-pagen foods lacks the nessessary ingredients that helps keep our immune system strong. I can't imagine what the world would be like "meat free". Pull my plug if it ever reaches that level!

My family is that same way about meat. And my husband loves my buttermilk biscuits that are made with lard and buttermilk. So I still cook for them. I just don't delve into their dishes. My food bill is cheaper than theirs though. There are few processed foods I buy because any home cooked meal taste better. It seems to take less to fill me now. I don't have cravings or desires for any food I left behind so far, with the exception of sugar (some processing machines filter with bone char). And with my job I am required to wear boots and there are not many vegan osha approved boots that allow your feet to breathe. Not everyone can leave meat, milk, or eggs. That is ok. Being vegan is not about being perfect. It is, for me, just doing what I can to not be a contributing condoning factor. Do I look at myself as being morally superior? No. I probably come off that way. I am still learning things and it is exciting for me. Maybe there are others like me who hate being an omnivore, ending a beings life, but don't know any better way. I prefer information. Maybe just like me they don't know how cruel the slaughter industries are with out humane regulations. That is not an omnivore's fault. So why attack you for what is out of your hands? It the sadistic ones, who are ok with torture just because it is grown as food, that are wrong. But attack someone in a rude way and get the same in return. Many will be happy to answer questions, but should not have to put up with being or called stupid, boring liberals and told to hang ourselves just because we have compassion for all living beings, not just dogs or cats.

meetyourmeat.com is a one-sided propaganda site that uses selective journalism practices to scare people and push them towards their own cause. gather information from both sides of the topic before jumping to conclusions. if your body can't handle meat, that's just fine; nobody's forcing you to eat it. don't spread propaganda, though.
  • Christine Sailor ... 2012/11/30 22:21:06
    Christine
I have read a lot of sites. And that is not propaganda. I have seen and heard from people who worked in butcher shops and slaughter houses enough to know that it is true. And it is not a case of my body handling meat it is weather or not it is healthy. If I am spreading propaganda and that is wrong then what gives you the right to judge any man for choosing to be compassionate. Hypocrite words don't you think.

My job is in the construction field as well. In the heat/cold everyday of the week, and karate three nights a week. Meatless does it for me. That is good you like you for you. This thread started because you posted that a man who is a vegan should hang himself. I said veganism is about compassion. So no I am not naming alternatives. I live with meat eaters. It is not my place to tell you what to eat. I will only correct you in why veganism is done by some and by me. Unfortunately you can not pin point which meat or eggs are cruelty free unless you raise it in your own yard. So if I ever wish to go back to meat I will pick back up consuming my own chickens and rabbits.

My four grandparents lived to over 100 yo and they ate meat, eggs, and everything else "with a face" you liberals refuse to eat. They all drank and two of them smoked for many years as well. Being "vegan" is utterly boring. Life is too short to eat cardboard and awful tasting "whole food" crap. Your immune systems will shut down and you'll die before you see your first SS check! I thought vegetarians were a joke. Vegans take boring and stupidity to a whole new level!
  • Christine DavidK 2012/12/17 16:23:22 (edited)
    Christine
How is it boring? We eat everything you eat minus eggs, meat, milk. I do everything I did before minus animal consumption. How is a personal preference stupid? Just because you don't understand it doesn't mean it is stupid. Being close minded is arguably stupid. Unless you eat absolutely no plants than your statement is foolish.
Do your research. All minerals you get are available in plant based diet including b12. Read labels and you will be surprised.
And this is the definition of liberal. It is not bad to be open minded.

    lib·er·al
    /ˈlib(ə)rəl/
    Adjective
Open to new behavior or opinions and willing to discard traditional values.
    Noun
    A person of liberal views.
    Synonyms
    generous - bounteous - lavish - bountiful - free
  • DavidK Christine 2012/12/19 04:03:25 (edited)
    DavidK
I'm also very open minded, open to new behavior or opinions, NOT accepting of discarding traditional values out of espect to the majority whom agree with me on this and besides the fact that have been in place fo hundreds of years,I'm also very generous, and you missed the fact that a college grad liberal becomes "POLITICALLY LIBTARDED" beginning the the day after graduation! Why is that?!?!?!?!? If you libtards don't see the trouble in America by now, that makes you a big part of America's problem!
  • Christine DavidK 2012/12/20 04:35:59 (edited)

You are a fool. You say I should smoke and drink and eat unhealthy foods when it is not necessary for my health and well being. When it has been proven that they have led to the death of so many. But I should forget that because of your farce story of four 100 year old grandparents.
I know the trouble of America. What does that have to do with being a vegan? Hungry people...stop wasting 10 gallons of water and 16lbs of food on unneeded animals just to get 1 lb of beef. Give that to humans instead. Money..save it by not buying food and water and land for animals when people need it more. Petroleum...fast food industries use this to preserve their foods. Why do people not do the math and research the facts? You are a problem of America. And when given just these facts you will instead sneer and do nothing.
I know humans are idiots incapable of changing and actually trying to make a change. I don't live in a world where I think their is hope for humans to wake up and actually solve their problems. People like you do not look past their own existences to try to make a change. One group could not do it all on their on. But here you are expecting them to because they know it could of humans actually cared about more than just themselves.
  • Sailor ... Christine 2013/01/12 15:01:13
    Sailor Jerry
have you ever thought that some of these changes are mostly unwanted? if it ain't broke, don't fix it!
  • Christine Sailor ... 2013/01/12 15:29:41
    Christine
I am making the changes I want. You are the one attempting to force changes by stating "vegan men should hang themselves". When I ate meat no one said anything. Now a vegan I see hostility and statements from people who are not affected by my choices.
Forks over knives: you can't say it is not broken. Places that began westernizing and eating as Americans began to get overweight and develop deseases in a higher percent of the population than they had in the past. As have Americans since the '30s, when meat was more of a side and not the main course. These are facts that you can find anywhere.
As I said eat what you want. It is not my place to tell you what to eat. I can tell you why Veganism is chosen for health or compassion. And that you can get All your nutrients from a plant based diet and be healthy. And it works for those in the constuction field and who lead an active lifestyle. It works for me and many like me. And there is not a link to blocked arteries, stroke, obesity, heart attack and cancer.

I don't think people realize what vegans can eat. A good portion of omnivore human diets are or at least should be vegan. Ever have some pasta with olive oil, roasted red peppers, and spices? Incredibly good and incredibly vegan. People seem to think only tofu is vegan. Tofu can also taste good if it's prepared right (there's a lot of good Asian tofu dishes I've had). So yes, vegan food is delicious and my dad thinks so too.
