I love the sign that explains the signals opposite!! In the UK, we are left to figure it out on our own what a green man and a red man means!!

I actually pay more attention to the traffic lights than the "walk" signal.

    Buttons are kinda like women.
No matter how many times you hit 'em, they won't 'come' any faster.

I've been told it does no good at all to keep pressing the button, in fact, that the button doesn't even work...it's there to placate the impatient...

It does work. If nobody pushes the button the lights will not turn green. At least in my town, I tested it.

What's the point? It's not going to change how long I have to wait for the light to change.

    I don't walk the streets :P

But seriously, i don't think any town in my parish has these. You just walk and hope you don't get hit. My parish also doesn't have a single red light XD We have a couple caution lights but thats it.

Well, we did get two perfectly good eyes and the ability to turn our head left and right. I always watch before crossing, but I often see people just stare at the lights and when it hits green they just cross. It's like they don't believe anyone would drive through a red light or something. Boy are they wrong.
  • Catgirl Syl 2012/06/11 00:13:19

Like i said, no red lights. We wouldn't watch for em even if we had em. There is hardly any traffic where i live, seeing as how we have nothing but small towns.

Of course I do. If no car is coming I want the damned light to change for me and that's the only way to get it to change.
I hate waiting a minute for the light to change just so I can walk across legally with no cars coming.
