I read for information, data input. I don't enjoy it like some people do. In the case of Fiction, I'll wait for the movie to come out.

Excellent fiction that gives one a peek around the corner at the future or provides great insight is very worthwhile but hard to come buy. I always find myself trying or thinking of hwo to rewrite the fiction I read. I guess I am somewhat of a frustrated author. I read almost exclusively informational reading and the voluminous junk people write on the web.

I get enough fiction from TV, Movies, and Video games. That and truth is stranger than fiction.

Almost exclusively. There has been so much strange stuff that has happened in history, that the fiction writers are rank amateurs.

Usually I alternate fiction with non-fiction but haven't had time lately so have been sticking with non-fiction. Sometimes it's hard to differentiate.

I don't have the patience to read fiction, it's a huge waste of time, I prefer watching movies instead (when it comes to fiction.)
I do read a lot of non-fiction, mostly educational/professional stuff (like technical stuff, foreign languages, economics, science related stuff, etc.)

I do more non-fiction reading for my job but I'd refer to read a good, well-written, thought provoking and engaging novel.
