I love most table top games Magic, Apple To Apples, Cards Against Humanity, War, Tsuro, Clue, Zombie Dice, Cthulhu Dice, Small World, Gloom, Lunch Money, everything really :D.
Usually 31, sometimes 5 card draw poker, and blackjack. When there were more of us we would play these insane care games that would go on for 10 or 12 rounds requiring something different each round (suits, pairs, 3 of a kind) I don't even remember the names of them. My Aunt was the expert card player who taught us. I don't remember how the games were played but I do remember we used to laugh until we cried.
I love playing magic. I've been playing since I was about 7. I still play the Duels of The Planewalkers, mostly cause I can't afford buying actual cards now.
Yeah, I know what you mean. The only reason I get cards at all is birthdays & holidays. I've always wanted to try my hand at a tournament. But those people are much more invested in winning than I will ever be. They pay crazy amounts of cash just to get the cards they want. I make do with what I have & try to stay creative. Sometimes when I play with new people they freak that I don't use card condoms. My line there is "Look at it this way, someday you can come thank me for making your card all the that much more rare."
Oh man, this whole conversation has got me jonesin'. I haven't played in like nearly a year now. All the people I played with regularly have moved away. Sucks.
Universally: Chess, Monopoly, and Cluedo > Poker, Go Fish, and Solitare

Every Wednesday at Mom's!
You can call it nerdy, & I won't care. Because nerdy or not, I'm pretty sure I can take you.
