Do you pray? If so, when your prayers come true, is it as a result of your praying or just coincidence?

ANGEL 2012/06/15 14:09:43
No - I don't pray.
Yes, I pray and when they come true I believe it is because of my prayers.
I pray - but I believe when my prayers come true it is just a coincidence
I pray - and when my prayers come true it could be either a result of my praying - or a coincidence.
I pray - and when they come true, it doesn't matter why.

When I was growing up, I must admit that I prayed only when I wanted something for myself - a particular toy for my birthday, and later good grades on the test, that a specific boy would like me. As an adult, the prayers branched out to others - that my unborn babies be healthy, that a friend who was ill would get will - and yes, even praying for peace on earth.

You don't have to be religious to pray. While people involved in Christianity and Judaism pray, Buddhists and Hindus meditate and in Scientology we "postulate" (which is similar to positive thinking). All of this can be likened to praying.

Do you pray? If so, when your prayers came to fruition was it as a result of your praying or just a coincidence?

I meditate. In meditation you simply clear your mind and relax, letting thoughts come in and out, expanding your awareness. Completely peaceful and eventually get to the point where you are completely thoughtless. I'm sorry if I didn't entirely answer your question.

All my prayers are always answered, by the grace of God. I may not like the answer but they are answered as He is the only One who knows my future and knows what I need at any given time, not just what I want. I trust is His wisdom, love and understanding for me.

I pray a lot, but never ask for my Will to be done. I pray for God's Will to be done and for strength to accept whatever comes my way.
    It has worked for me.

If one is meditating or "postulating" I believe it is a total coincidence. If it is asked in the Name of Jesus by a person who believes on His name, honors God, has faith, and prays in His will, then there is 100% confidence that indeed one receives whatever is asked. And contrary to popular belief, the answer is never no, it is just that 1) God delivers in ways we hadn't even thought of that usually turn out far better than we could have imagined or 2) that God does not work on our timetable on demand - His is far better because our entire life unfolds clearly before Him so He is never early or late or 3) the person asking does not have faith or shows honor or is not in God's will. Every single thing happening in a believer's life is working toward his good. And don't bother asking a Christ follower for proof of this - it is a secret known well to them and probably their whole life will be a personal testimony of it. Amen!

It is a superstition and really no different than an incantation, a curse a animal or other type of sacrifice. They are all vehicle asking a supernatural imaginary being to do something

Although sometimes the answer to my prayers is "no".
