I wear dark lensed eye protection every day, it helps prevent injuries from blowing sand and shrapnel, as well as UV and glare protection.

Sunglasses are a necessity to protect our eyes from the damaging rays of UVA and UVB. It is no longer a cosmetic or vanity item unless you wear them indoor and/or at night. Pediatricians are now strongly recommending that parents put sunglasses on their babies' eyes.

I have a particularly small face (not freakishly so, I just have petite proportions), so if I was to wear sunglasses they'd have to be children's ones I'm afraid. :(
