Yes ,we enjoyed our Seder & last year we invited our Christina friends & my Wife invited her pastor who was thrilled to come over for a traditional Seder dinner, what great time & wonderful stories shared. The pastor was a great inspiration to have at the table. He was well versed on the Passover knowledge & was able to add to our understanding.

My father was Jewish, and my mother was protestant. I grew up in a protestant church. However, when I was eighteen, I converted to The Church of Jesus of Latter-Day Saints. My parents did not object. I have been an active LDS for forty seven years.
I do not know much about Judaism, but I support the right of the nation of Israel to exist.

Yes, not only do we observe passover, but also the days of unleavened bread, Been doing it now for over 40 years. And I am not Jewish, but more of a spiritual Jew. We observe all of Gods holy days, which can be found in leviticus.

We had our second Seder last night, and I'm planning to cook a batch of fried matzoh (think french toast made with matzoh instead of bread) in an hour or so. Yum.

No I don't partake in pass over but even though I am Christian I do and I used to do lent. I should get back invovled with that again because my real bad habit is sugar and swearing a lot. To me swearing sounds foul coming out of a young Chrisitian mouth! I sometimes do regret that I have started swearing when I was preteen (13 to 15 years old) but those are my beliefs

l acknowledge it. The traditions are vital, but I am an athiest.
I would have given the other answer because I do, no formal observance, but did not want to give that answer, referring to myself and other Jews as Hebrews. lol

Unleavened bread represents getting rid of our sins [ Leavening makes things rise and by such so do our sins...being puffed up ]. During unleavened bread we get rid of all leavening out of our homes the best we can. We eat unleavened bread [ things like matzos ] for 7 days and remember that we are human and we do sin and we are to try and turn our lives around. I am not a jew, but what is called a spiritual Jew [ Christ was a jew and I follow him ]. When these days are over, most likely we may find some leaven hidden somewhere in the house [ happens to me every time ], which goes to prove we are not perfect and still sin. The good part is that Christ died for us so we could be forgiven and keep on trying to change. I hope this explaines some of it for you.

JJ - I guess you must know by now that unleavened bread has absolutely nothing to do with getting rid of sins and the holiday of Passover. Please see Heisenberg's response below.

Passover was to be observed throughout all generations of Gods people. While the wine represented Christ blood and the unleavened bread represented his body, we are to observe the days of unleavened bread for 7 days, which represented sin [ unleavened bread has no yeast or leavening...which biblically means puffed up...vainty, etc]. Leviticus 23: 1; 5-6. There is a lot to explain here, but its all connected to holy days that we're suppose to keep every year, not just jews, but God people.

My understanding is the unleavened bread is to commemorate the hasty Jewish evacuation from Egypt in which they did not have time to wait until the bread was leavened so they ate it flat.

As an LDS Christian, I observe it every week when I take the Sacrament bread and water, which represent the blood and body of Jesus Christ which replaced the symbolic slaying and eating of a lamb at Passover and the spreading of its blood on the lintels of the door to the home. The leaven of sin is cast out as I renew my covenants to God as I partake.
