Are you tweeting away or messaging your Facebook friends when watching a movie? Well, according to a recent Pew Study, an increasing amount of teens certainly are. A recent poll from The Hollywood Reporter found that "80 percent of TV viewers like to browse Facebook while they watch their favorite shows. The poll also found that young people (ages 18-34) would like to use social media while they are watching movies in theaters, if given the choice."

HUFFINGTONPOST.COM reports:
According to a recent Pew Study, the number of teens who text is increasing, as is the number of texts sent per day. Given this, it's probably not the most OMG-worthy news to most young people that a recent poll from The Hollywood Reporter found that 80 percent of TV viewers like to browse Facebook while they watch their favorite shows.

If I am paying $12 or $15 to see a movie, I sure as hell am going to see and hear every single frame of it.

I paid good money to see the movie, why would I waste it to play with my phone? I can tweet about it later.

I don't even have my phone on. THAT is annoying to people. But, I do sometimes read the newspaper, I just use a little flashlight to see the articles.

That's friend time. Feeding times, between classes, in the car: those are times for multitasking.

If I see anyone texting on their phone while watching a movie, I will have them removed.
I'm not going to waste my money being distracted by some fool that thinks he/she is more important than the rest of us.

Unless you consider snuggling multitasking! No, I go to movies to enjoy the movie. All the other stuff can wait.

There is a reason I have almost completely boycotted movies and prefer to watch them at home. If I do go, I tend to lean towards mid week shows where there is almost nobody in the movie.

Multitasking should be done at work or home! A movie is to be watched,if you need to multitask, you should stay at home! Other people are trying to watch the movie,a mind is a terrible thing to waste! "Duhh"??

people pay 10 theater browse phone disturb watching movie

No text/tweet is worth interrupting what i am doing. That is NOT multitasking!

Whenever I go, I like focusing on what I went there to do in the first place, watch a movie. Everything else can just wait til I get through.

I paid for the ticket (or possibly a friend or family member bought it for me - no difference), I traveled to the theater, I'm watching the d*mn movie.

Far as I'm concerned, if you can't disconnect for the length of the movie: GET THE HELL OUT AND DON'T DISTURB EVERYONE ELSE!
