T.V rocked during the 90's. Rugrats, rocket power, powerpuff girls, Dexter's lab, Courage the Cowardly dog, Angry Beavers, Catdog, Spongebob wasn't overrated yet. I'm not sure if it came out in the 90's or not, but I remember loving the Grim Adventures of BIlly and Mandy growing up. Now the poor kids are being tormented by dull television. Icarly was good for a while, but that got very dull after so many reruns and it being on ALL DAY. The new spongebobs are boring and the old ones are re-run so much I can't watch. Cartoons are now almost obsessively politically correct with a few exceptions. I have younger siblings, and I can't stand the boring crap they watch. I wish there was a channel dedicated solely to 90's cartoons, because every cartoon I've showed them from my childhood they've adored far more than what's on T.V now...

Jordan, Pippen and Rodman. Weren't my team but I used to watch it. I have no idea at all most of the players in the NBA now. I kind of lost my interest in it to watch it now.

Surprised, a little, that kids who grew up in the 90s are nostalgic for junk like Rugrats. Maybe it's just by comparison to the continuing deterioration of kids' fare...

Not everything was bad, though. While I'd sooner go back a bit farther and avoid a lot of the 90s lameness, the kid TV had a few nice highlights. The initial Batman cartoons I believe came along in the early 90s, spawning some decent stylistic trends for awhile. Syndicated toons like Mighty Max and Captain Simian stood out, and Pinky and the Brain were just awesome. Also, up until around '96 or '97 when bad digital video came into vogue, there were a lot of neat b-movies coming out.

Generally though, I pitied the kids who had to grow up in that decade.

It hasn't gotten better everywhere. But on that line of thinking, I remember when they deregulated the phone companies in 97 and we had a short period of all these different companies competing like mad, meaning we had great service and low rates for a few years. But long term... that turned out to be a very bad idea. :/

I miss the 80's and 90's. I was in high school in the 90's so a lot of memories. I can't believe how much time has passed. I can't believe I'm 30 lol.

It makes me sad that I can't see the video. I was a kid in the 90's, I was six in 1999, but I remember Reptar, and Rocko, and Boy meets world.... I miss the stuff from when I was younger....... I shouldn't have grown up...

Does it count if I endured the 90's by Raising TWO children alone during this decade?
SOME of these shows .. although I did enjoy sitting down and sharing time with my children ..

they were truly the kind that got on my nerves .. (kind of like having that horrible screech in the background .. a prime example of this would be RugRats .. SpongeBob .. )

I was born and raised in the 90's.

That was when Nick played GOOD television shows. And the Disney channel wasn't overrun by that crap that's on there now.

I'd kill to have a channel dedicated to 90's shows.

I was a kid in the 90's and 00's. The 90's was certainly the decade for cartoons. I absolutely loved Tom and Jerry. There is only one cartoon I like that's recent which is spliced.

Now I have replaced cartoons with anime since they haven't died yet.

Gawd no! I spent my teenage years in the 90s. Not that my teens were bad, I just remember the horrible styles. Lots of rayon materials, 72 inch barrel pants, acid laced with stricknine, BAD movies, even worse television. The only thing I miss about the 90s were all those raves and those amazing acid breaks from The Chemical Brothers and Crystal Method.
