Do you message friends even when you don't really have anything to say?

I have a habit of just messaging friends when I'm bored and seeing if any conversation actually results; yep that tends to mean I will say hello to them every day--not sure if that's really a negative thing or not.

Sometimes

I never have anything new going on, but I will txt my best friend to see how she is feeling. She is pregnant and has twins so I try to check on her a couple times a week. Even if nothing new is going on here.

I do that all the time. My friends and I will have the lamest conversations. But talking to my friends is worth it, so :3
