Just wonder if anyone else feels like they have to make the bed every morning? We're just going to be messing it up again later, so why do people feel inclined to make it?

I have a compulsion, where I have to make it before I can leave the house.

Well.. maybe 50% of the time. But my idea of making the bed is usually throwing the covers back up in the "upright" position -- not necessarily tidy.

Do not like to get into a messy bed so I make my bed everyday. my husband teases me because for years I had to be at work a 6am so I would get up and make my side of the bed and ask him to make his when he got up for work.

When I leave for work my girlfriend is still sleeping. I use to until she moved in. I always like going to bed with a bed that has been made.
Hmmmmm...... Have a half naked girl in my bed or be able to make my bed every morining?......... Damn that's a tough one....... LOL J/K

I kinda have to, my husband is on night shift. When I leave the house in the morning, he comes home an hour later and sleeps all day!

I'm kinda OCD on the bed covers, like them straight and even .....I make the bed every day, and if it's one of those toss and turn kind of nights, I have been known to get up and fix it in the middle of the night, just to help myself get to sleep more soundly. My guy thinks I am a bit of a nut, but we laugh and cuddle so he hasn't called a shrink for me yet.

I'm a bit hypocritical - I don't see a point in making the bed, because the covers are just going to get messed up that night anyway... yet I make my bed every morning out of habit...

i dont sleep in a bed. i sleep on the floor or the couch. i have a very soft bed but i never use it. its so soft and comfy. but i never sleep on it. idk y. maybe im just dumb. but i cant go to sleep on it. but i fall right asleep on the couch.

i can honestly say...i have never once in my lifetime made my bed in the morning. i am lazy as it is and in the a.m. hours...its just that much worse. i love a clean room and a made bed, but it can wait till after school or work.
