Each year my kids and I make Valentine Cards for family and all their classmates. We attach a sucker or a mint that is tied with a ribbon.

When my daughter was younger and they celebrated it in school, we made foam valentine cards. It was a fun project to do with her.

My daughter likes the foam cut outs...I haven't worked much with it but my friend is into the foam and so they make things.

We still do foam crafts every now and then when my 12 year old is in the mood. Sometimes she wants to be a child, other times she acts grown up.

Must be a stage they are going thru. Sometimes she acts like she is still my baby and other times it is go away mom. Kind of hurts. I think it means we are doing something right.

I have made personal Valentines day cards for my wife on occasion. Once, in 1999, I made a Flash (computer animated graphics) card because I wanted to learn the technology. I can't draw and it took me too long to learn before time ran out so she got a Valentine's day card with only a few tiny, ugly graphics. Bad idea. I imagined it looking something like this:

maybe buying a card for $2.50 would have saved me a lot of grief that year.

I did that one year...it was so much fun~! Have you done the bell ornaments? You take a soda bottle cut in half...keep the top half take and put a small hole in the cap for the ribbon and on the inside end of the ribbon you tie a bell and on top you put the hook so it can hang from a tree...cover the bell shaped bottle in christmas paper, glitter, ribbons etc...

No...I just do the cards and cupcakes....other people have done photo's of the kids and cut them into heart shapes outlined with ribbon/rhinestones etc... on cardstock and then a ribbon (looks like an ornament but in a heart shape w/photo) hope that makes sense *_*

I love it as well....the kids enjoy it and it shows them that putting a little extra effort into a gift/card will make it more meaningful.
