Do you love Canada?

It's great, I was just in BC last month. I have family that lives on Vancouver Island.

Yes, but I don't like Westerners.
Quickly trying to get back home to Asia where I belong. :P

I would love Canada more if they would begin extricating themselves from the cancerous tentacles of Washington.
I would move to Canada if PM Harper were dumped and another Pierre Trudeau put in office as PM.
What Canada really needs to do is dissolve the Governor General's office and finally be independent from the Crown.

I wasn't born here and I don't consider myself Canadian, per se, but I do love this country. It's one of the best places to live in terms of heath and safety and education. I want to live in many countries but I see myself settling here again :)

Yes I do. I have only been to British Columbia and Vancouver Island 4 or 5 times, I have never met a person that wasn't nice or polite.

..and Vancouver Island in particular...Canada is far more civilized than the U.S.; people there don't have to constantly worry about being shot...

I've been to every Province except Yukon and Saskatchewan, most many times. Love it...but not the winters.

Just went to British Columbia in October. Loved it can't wait to go back.

Toronto is my favorite city in North America and the CNE cannot be beat. What's more, even though taxes are high, unlike the U.S. government which will bankrupt us, the Canadian government is fiscally responsible....and a very low crime rate.

And has Universal health care. The biggest things are, They didn't go into unending or unnecessary wars for years at Billions$ per week, they didn't have Wall Street rip-off artists get away with destroying their economy, they didn't pass an "unpaid for" drug plan, or give their Bil-Mil-ionaires humongous tax breaks...also not paid for.....they didn't do ANY of those things our last President did. Without those things, America would be in great shape also, and I have little doubt we will be....IF those idiots allow us to go back to an "American Government", and stop trying to give us one we never had and do NOT want!

It won't happen in Canada.... unless they get the same mind-set of our politicians... not likely. Unlike us, their politicians still care more about their country than their jobs. Twenty years ago, the Canadian dollar was worth about 30 cents less than our dollar. Now it is worth about 30% more than our dollar. Their GDP is now approaching 7%. Ours is less than 2%. As I said, they are fiscally responsible. We are not; and a financial tsunami is headed our way.

I am a simple person and quite perplexed by what you mean by "making their pieces Fit the puzzle." I really do not ever try to force square pegs into round holes, that is, unless the round holes are big enough or the square pegs are small enough.

Partitioning states so that the popular vote has no chance and that the centers of a certain political party get to dictate the number of electoral votes, regardless of the popular vote, is gerrymandering, (making THEIR pieces to fit the puzzle), it is also un-American, the destruction of democracy, un-patriotic, and uncalled for. It's NOT putting square pegs in round holes....it's filing corners into those round holes so the square peg will FIT!

e muitos deles sao nas communidades portuguesas em Montreal ou em Toronto.

Atualmente estão a emigrar muitos portugueses devido ao agudizar da crise essencialmente para Angola, Brasil, Reino Unido e Suiça. Esperamos por melhores dias. Boa sorte para si e os seus !

I haven't been there but from what I understand, it's bloody cold and it's full of people with either Canadian or French accents. I don't realllly like either of those accents.

Not in the patriotic sense anyways, I'm completely non-nationalistic. I do love the community I live in (which is why I'm still living in it), but as far as Canada goes its just a country, the one i happened to have been born into and its got its good and bad points.
