Do you think that you are a more important person than the janitor or cashier at the supermarket? Or do you think that they are equal human beings? I personally believe in the latter, but what's your opinion?

i look down at people who don't work at all and mooch off the government, their parents or other people. at least minimum wage people are doing something

They are doing a needed job so I respect them for showing up and doing their work.
And it costs nothing to be polite or even friendly toward them.
Been there a long time ago but still rember.

The only people I look down on are those who do absolutely nothing to earn their share but expect those around them to do things for them. Even a hobo with a sign in his hand on the side of the road is still putting forth some kind of effort. Sure it's the bare minimum effort, but I think those people are only expecting minmum results as well. I've met people who would literally be offended that you are expecting them to do a little something for what you have given them.

Sometimes, they are the hardest working people, with the crappiest jobs, for the least amount of money, but they are willing to work, have pride, and are not just lazy slobs living off the government dole... I say, Hooray for them

No I don't. My father came from a poor family. And wee were blessed through hard work to get ahead. But then I had aserious illness and lost everything. So we are all just one heart beat away from poverty and we don't know how it could happen. But it can.

Every job is important, as they are most all needed to keep our society functioning. To look down upon another doing such a job is in my opinion anti American and something no one should do, what should be done is to give them a tip whenever possible.

Everyone has to begin somewhere, or need a net, or a second job, or maybe even a 1st job. It;s work people, honest hard (standing on your feet and serving people who largely feel superior to you with a smile on your face) work. I praise them, I don't look down on them.
