I live on four admittedly beautiful acres in the Rockies (elevation 6, 450 feet) with a creek running through the center of it, and would joyfully trade it for a piece of beach property on any coastline.

like a matter of metres away also considering i live in new zealand it is impossible to live more then about 2 hours away from the sea/ocean at any given time :)

Near the Atlantic. The years I spent inland, I felt claustrophobic. It was if I would suffocate without the smell of salt water.

I live in Rhode Island, I don't think you can live more than 30 miles from the coast....if you can call that "inland".
