Do You Like Your Health Care Insurance Plan?

It's okay. We pay $300 a month for 5 people. It covers hospital, ambulance, dental, extra dental, physiotherapist and optometry....but doesn't cover 100% of the cost for the last 4.....you just get a discount. Still figuring out if it's worth it.

I like mine as it is.

I have socialized medicine and get full coverage for everything for about $35 per month. With socialized medicine you go to the hospital have an operation and walk out,it is already paid for.

I have Cigna Medicare Plus HMO. I'm pretty happy with it.

Tricare ok. Could be better, but it's retired military.

I have him too, but since I am a type I diabetic and require insulin, I am glad I have Aetna as well.............

I have insurance. It is pretty poor. It is really only for catastrophic incidents. Any outpatient surgeries they only pay 30%. I found that out the hard way!

Yeah... it is better than none. But the entire system is messed up. As soon as anyone knows ins. is paying the price goes way up. People don't seem to talk about that reality when discussing why health costs are up. I also know of a medical billing/invoicing company charging 1000% over the actual Dr. bill for their "services". and that is just one.

Happened to us with Aetna, our new plan doesn't cover the lab expense. My daughter blood work from Quest for a bunch of Allergy Blood test would have been $1,000.00, when they saw that it wasn't under our new plan, they only charged us $300.00....... That is still a lot of money for a family to pay. :+(

I hate to think what the premiums will be like as I get older... and what Obamacare is going to do to decent coverage, but for now, I'm okay. :O)

My husband is a CPA, with a partner and 5 employees. He is paying $1000.00 per month for three people. We scaled back the coverage we have because it was going to be $1400.00 per month to keep the same coverage we had for the previous year! I feel horrible for him, I never had any health problems until I got pregnant with my daughter. At 29, only weighed 109 at five months pregnant and ended up with gestatial diabetes. No family history of it....... Only gained a total of 30 pounds, and she weighed almost 10 of that ~~lol. Anyway, four weeks after she was born it changed to Type I diabetes, instead of going away. They say it only happens to 1% of woman who get the gestatial. Many end up with the Type II, but those are usually the overweight woman........ I am not one of them. My endocronologist thinks it was a "environmental case", I had a real bad case of food poisening at three months. He thinks it settled in the pancreas and my own immune system attacked my own islet cells.............. Pretty wild. But now I'm stuck with it. :+(

I know so little about diabetes... but this sounds horrible. Those things come out of the blue and change your whole life. I'm so sorry.



That's rough, having to shell out for employees as a small business. Can't help but think that all the unintended results of socialized medicine would be far worse, still.

I pay to much for very little return. Obama care has raised the premiums and reduced the benefits and this trend will continue unless Obama care is defeated!

I have a great plan - covers me for any catastrophic illness and is relatively inexpensive. I pay for office visits which are once a year and only to get RXs renewed. I am very healthy and do not need these 'cadillac' plans - waste of money for me.
