I shop for bacon all the time, yet rarely buy it. I wait until I find it very lean and then I buy it. But I am very fussy about what I do buy.

Gammon is the name given to the meat from the hind legs of a pig that has been cured in the same way as bacon. The main difference between gammon and ham is that gammon will be sold raw and needs to be cooked.

I have no idea where you live, but that is definitely HAM. Not bacon at all.

The UK, and that's what came up on google for "gammon and pineapple". Very big here in the 70s/80, apparently they thought it was sophisticated :-)

Bacon bacon bacon on everthing is good. With Avocado and Turkey. Bacon on baked ypotato. Bacon on Cheeseburgers is best too.
