I'm sitting here with my windows open and WAS enjoying the fresh air when the smell of cigarette smoke comes wafting through my windows-Yuck! So much for "fresh air".

    I smoked for 55 years, and quit New years 2011. Never thought I could. Tried many time but ended up cheating on myself and went back. Now after 21 months, the smell of smoke is awful.

    I am an ex smoker from many years ago and just can't stand the smell even from a distance. I am so sensitive to it now that I can walk past someone's house and smell it coming from that home. I absolutely hate being somewhere closed in where it can get in my hair and on my clothing. Thankfully, most places are smoke free now.

    If I even get around cigarettes anymore, I end up throwing up. I'm not sure if that's due to the smell though..

    I smoke but when I was in a 74 day coma I did not and when I came to I smelled the nastiest oder. However I was drawn to it. I do not know

    I have almost no sense of smell, Occasionally I can get a whiff of stale tobacco smoke and bla, But someone elses farts smell bad also, & I do not cry about that...

    What I DO find totally disgusting, is a glass with the remnants of a drink, filled with cigarette butts! I mean it is as disgusting as a broken commode no one flushed after several bowel movements...

    I dislike the smell of stale cigarettes or that smell on someones clothing but when they are lit up smoking in an open area It doesnt bother me one way or the other.

    I grew up living in a house with 4 people smoking. My uncle and I were the only two that didn't smoke. So for years I had to grow up with the terrible smell. When my family eventually quit, they too finally understood why my Uncle and I couldn't stand the smell.

    I never knew how awful cigarette smoke smelled until I quit. Both of my parents smoked heavily (Mom died of lung cancer and Dad died of a heart attack) so I never knew what life was without smoking. After I quit, we went over my sister-in-law's house where everyone smoked. I got home and checked my shoes to see if I stepped in something, but then realized it was the smoke on my clothes and in my hair. I just had to take a shower to get that stink off of me.

    hate is not a strong enough word. My husband smokes, and I swear, I could take his cigarettes and shove the whole carton straight up his tailpipe. He knows how much I hate it, it even makes me hurl.. if we ever were to part.. it would be because of that smoke. I won't kiss him because his moustache stinks like smoke, and I swear, I can smell his cig. breath clear through his face.

    My Mother smoked when she was pregnant with me(it was 1960!)So by proxy I was born addicted.But I started smoking when I was three,inhaling when I was seven.And by the age of fourteen,I was on the long distance track team,couldn't do both,so I gave it up!"Smoking that is!"LOL

    I am uncommonly sensitive to it. I'm not asthmatic but I absolutely cannot tolerate being within 50 metres of it. I get an acute pain in my sinuses the instant I smell it.

    Funnily enough, my boyfriend is a smoker. Needless to say he only smokes at work, and not after his lunch break, then showers and brushes his teeth the moment he's home. I wish he would stop altogether for the sake of his health alone. It is a point of contention between us - but at the end of the day I can't make him do or not do what he wants.

    I smoke and I don't like the smell thats why no ones allowed to smoke in my house. I do however for some reason like the smell on my fingers. Its weird

    Sometimes, it depends. I wouldn't want to be surrounded by cigarette smoke constantly though. If I pass by and smell it it's not bad. It adds a variety of the aromas I encounter. There are certain smells like dumpster liquid or a long unbathed bum that I would prefer never to smell. I do though LOVE the smell of marijuana, mmm! So good! Plus it's really good for you when juiced! love marijuana leaf
