My dad is a Ford guy... so that makes the whole family a ford family. Though I don't drive one.

My *used* escort lasted 11 years. It was held together with duct tape and bungee cords near the end. Now I have a Focus.

I owned a Ford. They didn't take bailout money. I like their new Flex and Edge models. They make a profit... go Ford!

Several issues with Ford, first being they support gay rights which doesn't sit well with me. But we bought a used 2004 Taurus SE that has been a flawless daily driver! They have built many cars that would make the all time lemon list, but if you choose well, you can get a good one like we did. Personally, I'm a Chevy truck guy! My 1989 C3500 454 BB with a 700r4 overdrive transmission will do 165 mph, smoke other trucks of equal size off the line, and still get 18-20 mpg (If I try to get good MPG!)

I only ever had one ford and no matter what repairs were done to it it never had heat. I was an OLDs person. But now hell will freeze over before I Buy a GM car

It is the only vehicles we own and the only ones we will continue to own. They may not make everything in America, but neither does anyone else. I love it when i read people posting comments about how much more American Toyota and Honda are. Do you not think they have parts coming in from all over the world? When you buy American made, it is also important to buy from an American company, not a foreign owned company that send their profits back to their country.

I used to until I found out that American Companies can claim cars made in Mexico and Canada as American Made. Toyota and Nissan are where you want to shop if you want American Made.

Yes they are owned by Japanese Companies. However they have plants in the USA that manufacture the majority of their cars sold in this country.

I've never had a Ford, but I think they are good cars.

Meant to say NO they are the only cars that I have owned that gave me trouble junk have been caught with 3 of them and they were nothing but trouble.
My Niece drives one and it is the worst made car I have ever seen always something breaking on it.
Worked in the motor trade for a while and my dad was in it all his working life and Ford and VW kept him in business.

Have owned

Mazda Toyota Fiat Vauxhall Mitsubishi Opel Holden all with no problems the Fiat was a bit finicky but nothing major.
Have to admit my Moms car at present has a Ford badge on it but it is a re badged Mazda and it has been a very good car.
As with all things peoples experiences with cars differ.

I have a 1993 ford 150. I've beaten that poor truck up. but it won't die. and when the rust fall off it makes it lighter and more fuel efficient.
