A High School friend of mine became a lawyer and was found guilty in some financial fiasco. He spent many years in Marion Federal Prison.

I don't think I do anyway. My ex b/f was in the hoosegow dry-out tank overnight one time but jail and prison are two different beasts.

He used to be a leader of a gang and did all these drugs and whatnot and did all this stupid stuff and now he's trying to get clean and start a new life somewhere.

Yes, I have a friend in prison. He is in this time for DUI.
He is an excellent mechanic and my car misses him very much. He gets out next month. I told her to hang in there.
He has a good heart but his life has been very difficult. He struggles with an alcohol addiction. I realize that he has created many of his problems but, I just keep hoping that he can overcome the alcohol addiction and get his life on track before it is too late.

My oldest brother, for possession. He's much older than I am, he served in 'Nam, picked up a habit there. Unfortunately at the time, he was a railroad engineer and was fired (rightfully so, as he could have caused a major wreck.

Unfortunately, an uncle and a cousin. One a drug related, the other murder related. They both have sinced passed away. You can choose your friends, but not your family.

Yeppers, a friend of mine killed 3 people...he would have gotten the fourth but the guy tripped and fell just in the nick of time...my friend then tied the guy up, set him on the porch and called the police what transpired...These 4 guys were going to kill him because he informed the police of their illegal activities....they were stupid to come up at him in broad daylight and the fact that my friend was state champion in pistol marksmanship....my friend served 3 years and got out...

Yes I do. Jails/prisons do not reform. Only the individual can make the choice to change themselves. And that is what life is about,-choices.

Two of my brothers, both at the same time. They were definitely partners in crime. And to think, I'm considered the black sheep of the family, because I went to college and go to church.
