Not one of my prouder moments in life. Totaled my beautiful '72 Mercury Marquis Brougham and two other cars and hurt a third pretty bad. No one was injured thankfully. Another reason I can't go full on atheist. If I had pictures you would understand why.

And just in case you did not know this: If you are taking a prescription drug that is labelled "do not drive or operate heavy equipment while taking this drug" and you get stopped, you may be charged with DUI. Even if you have the prescription with you. It is still considered driving while intoxicate or driving under the influence.

I have several friends who work for the police force, both local and state. They are the ones who told me about it, at least in Florida DUI means "driving under the influence" and it goes beyond alcohol. Would you like see a person high on pain killers after a surgery driving around the interstate or your street?

Well yes it stands for the same thing here but we don't get in trouble if we just have the bottle say in our purse & it's in our name. Now if there is no bottle, then yes a person can get charged. I've seen people high on painkillers drive, sad as it is that's not an uncommon thing these days but after surgery? No.

That is what I thought, but if the bottle says "do not operate a vehicle or heavy equipment while taking this drug" you are screwed. By the definition of the drug, you are considered to be impaired and are creating a risk for yourself and others.

This country says it is getting tough on DD thats a bunch of BS I know people with 2 and even more .... All that happens is pay the fines the court cost lose your DL for a while and back on the road to possible kill some one .... other countries are real about DD do a Google search and you will see this .....

He was someone I worked with. He doesn't work there anymore. Apparently, getting a DUI while driving a company vehicle makes the company cranky.
