Sad but true I know people with house so dirty I hate to even sit down, it smells, just nasty.

Yes, my daughter had a friend in 7th grade who's house was filthy, food on the floor, dirty clothes piled up to the top of the washer, dog feces even on the floor. It was unhygienic and totally gross and then the mother wondered why I wouldnt let my daughter play at their house.

and i know of women who have gone out of their way to put some order to it as well instead of standing there and making a judgement call. This woman had quite a few children and i've heard it said, "trying to keep a home sparkling clean while having children is like shovelling snow while it is snowing" ... i've also been in homes where the house is immaculate but cold as ice, no warmth to it at all ...

I'm not talking about keeping house sparkling clean, I'm talking about people who live in a toxic waste. , How much time does it take to throw dirty diapers in the bin instead of leaving them on the floor, maybe wipe the table off so flies and other insects don't occupy it. I know it's hard with children but its also dangerous to serve their food on a table that hasn't been wiped off in months.

I've never been in that much filth where there is stinking diapers and filth right out in the open and as you say toxic waste. I'd earn the persons trust first, then perhaps say something to them or do something about it, especially if there are kids in the home ...

I would never tell someone their house was too dirty for me. Just don't visit. Have them come to your house if they are a good friend.

at times I've told them ..
most of the time though .. I've tried to pick up for them (and help out) as much as I can ..
now that I'm Blind .. it is far tougher to help out ..
but I'll help with what is safe ..

(and there's a couple that never listened at all .. their homes SCARE me)

I am such people

8 to ten hours a day, 6 to 7 days of the week working in the factory. I have two dogs and a cat that have to be groomed, bathed and clipped. I spend a lot of time in keeping my gardens up. I spend time on art projects. I spend time with my kids and grandkids. I pay the bills. Yes, my house is often a mess. No, I don't care what you think about it.

I'm not talking about things being out of place or even floor needing a good sweeper run, but homes that actually are almost like a toxic waste dump. Thanks for answering.

I did a shower rebuild in a home and it made me sick!Smelled like Mold ,pee and poop.I don't know how people can live like this!

It's really sad. The people I know who live like this have serious situations going on in their lives. I make sure they come visit *me* or we meet somewhere.
