Washing machines really aren't that difficult to use, guys. We promise.

Still, according to a recent survey, about one fifth of British men have no clue how to use one.

A spokesperson for npower hometeam, Joan Coe said: "It's incredible to see that stereotypes still prevail in some households with men confused by washing machines and cookers in the kitchen."

The study showed that a fifth of women, on the other hand, had trouble with things like wireless routers and computer-related technology.

The survey was limited to the U.K., so that's where we come in.

use them to dust with first...then pitch them. Otherwise you will have a basket full of socks...bugging you to darn them...and you'll always feel like your not doing your job as long as they are staring you in the face. Been there, done that..pitch them.

You too. I don't mind it. I actually enjoy it. When I'm at the laundry mat I either bring my pc or listen to music. Make the time go by really fast.

I've been doing my own wash since I was a teen. I have nobody else to do my wash for me, cook my food or clean my house so I better know how to do these things, lol.

Im the only allowed to use the machine here. The last time someone else used it bleach ended up in the wrong place and colors got onto whites. It was not something that needs to happen again.

My mom taught me when I was just in elementary school. Then I had to do my own sometime in middle school. Just like how as soon as I hit 90 pounds, I had to mow our 2 acre yard. Sad how I had to do man work back when little girls still played with Barbies and there are men out there who don't even know how to do these trivial things still.. all you do is turn a few knobs.

I do most of the laundry. I recently showed my brother how to use the washer and dryer. Whether he remembers or not, we'll see that when he leaves home. My dad also knows how to use the washer. We don't let him use the dryer though because he shrinks things =\

Of course I do. That being said, many are quite different. The first time I used my boyfriend's, I got him to show me because I'd never used a front-loader and was confused about where the washing powder should go.

Some of the controls on the new computorized ones are like the control panel in the cockpit of a jet plane. But once I figure them out then all is a go. Clean duds.

Yeah, I only recently taught my sister and she is 15. What /should/ be simple is deceptively complicated, thanks to our bitch of a machine. Even ignoring the other things she did wrong though, she actually forgot to put any washing powder into the machine >.> I was not impressed.

a dishwasher, vaccuum cleaner, dust mop, wet mop, and i cook!

occasionly i bring coffee to wife in bed on some saturdays when she is tired/ and i am up early.

i dont do dusting thingy well. i dont do it as often as i should am told.

but we share most of household chores. after i tend to my veggies. which is not same timing as her some times.
if i forget a recipe. got a backup plan!!!!
