Yes, I live with them! I look just like my mom, and even our mannerisms are very similar.

The medical does now, because I don't have a history to pull from, but
then my father died when I was still inside, so he may have had
something that we will never know about.

Only way we even got the medical records was because the woman that handled the case was still working. She could of told us everything..but by law should couldnt.

I have tried for sometime to get them, and keep getting stone walls.
The lady that was responsible for getting me adopted retired.

The reason I ask is because my sister who died 4 months ago was my half sister. I discovered this when I was 16 years old by accident. My Mother is 89 and I would never ask her who my sister's father really was. My Father who has been dead since 1969 married her when she was pregnant with my sister. He was not the Father. He would never talk about it except to say that it's true. The information I have was from different family members, a little here and there. I don't figure it's any of my business anyway.

What great parents! Your mother choose to keep her pregnancy at at time when unwed mothers were social outcasts. And your Dad married her and raised that child as his own. You, and your sister, are blessed!

Sounds like great parents Jim. When my first husband died my 3 older kids were pretty much grown..our youngest son was 16 months old.Of course he know's his dad died...but he has been learning that his step dad is just as much a dad as if he fathered him himself. Anyone can be a father..but to be a dad..well that is totally different :))

I I have two stepchildren. I've had them since they were 4 and 5. They are now 44 and 43. I have a better relationship with them probably than their mother. She has a tendency to still treat them as children. They call me Dad and have since they were small children.

That is because you are a great dad Jim :))..As mom's it's hard to let our kids grow up..It was hard for me but our kids have to have the own lives...but...they will always be our babies :))
