Do you know anybody who is blind?

My grandmother

My eye sight is really awful and I know a lot of people who are visually impaired.

My Aunt is Blind AND deaf! But she manage life just fine. She is happy!

i know a few who are blind in one eye...

Yeah and she's so damn annoying. Every day in World History class "Oh hey Anthony how are you today."
"Good."
"I'm good, too. So oh emm gee guess what I did today?!?!"
"What?"
*She proceeds to keep talking straight for the 5 minutes before the bell.*

Some days, I will just sit really still and quiet and hope she doesn't notice my presence, but she always does. Guess that's some blind person sense or something.

Not personally, but I interned at a camp for the visually impaired for two summers during high school. I learned to read braille and use a braille typewriter and the little tricks the blind use to manage their clothing and money.

My younger brother is almost completely blind and I am visually impaired / losing my eyesight. Bad genes.

I knew a couple. One I remember most was a very big guy. He was tough. On the 4th of July he was jumped and killed. I do not think they have found his killers. I know he would have put up a fight.

Yes everybodies blind.They dont love me even when i care for them.They think love and feelings but do what social influence says them to.

There are two blind students at my school, and I have class with one of them twice.

I know a drummer in a band who is blind. Quite impressive.

My dad is partially blind (and partially deaf).

I'm legally blind in my right eye (don't know if that counts or not?), other than that, no, I don't...at least none that I know of.

On a personal level? No.
But I had an awesome encounter with one once.... My school's choir and band went on a trip to Disney World to perform for like an hour, and for the 7 days we were there otherwise, went to the kingdoms/various worlds and whatnot.....ANYWAY....
My friends and I went on the Tower of Terror for like the second or third time one day.... and the ride ended up getting stuck. So there we sat in the dark with a bunch of strangers, and one of them was a blind older guy with his wife. His wife at on point said something to the effect of "You can't see anything! Gosh, I don't like the dark." And he jokingly said, "Now you know how I feel all the time!"

Really? Was she born blind?

No, she lost her sight due to complications with Diabetes. Lots of problems with vision on my Moms side. My mom began to get cataracts & had glaucoma (also due to Diabetes).

I was told by one Optometrist that I had the onset of glaucoma but when I switched Dr's was told that's not true. But I'm suppose to keep up with regular appts for my eyes, which I'm bad & don't do...because of my Diabetes as well.

Well, I did know somebody who was blind. My cousin Sarah. She had a brain tumor that permanently left her blind. They were able to remove it, but not restore her sight. Two years after she lost her sight, the tumor returned. She died when she was 16. She is still missed.
