A guy who works at a local convenience store dropped out in his Jr year. He thinks he's doing just fine, but hasn't a clue.

Myself, I dropped out at the end of my Junior year. Went to a ghetto school that rioted a year later after I left, could not stand it. I was in the Reserves so went on active duty in the Navy and got my GED, came home took two courses got my regular diploma and than went on to college and got a degree in Administration of Justice. Don't regret it to this day. It is called survival 101

Yes I do. Most of the ones I know had to drop out to work to help out the family.

All four of my older brother's dropped out within the first two years of their high school career, and my younger sister also just dropped out half way through her senior year (way to get there and ruin all that effort).
All of them now work jobs that pay somewhere between minimum wage and 15 dollars and hour. They also can't seem to figure out why their younger brother is bothering to go through 8 years of college. Guess they'll know when I am making 250k a year working as a physician...

Yes: ME. Dropped my junior year, 1969. Thank you, U.S. Army, for another chance.

I have 5 degrees now, including my Master's in Education Administration. Yes, I am a teacher as well as an administrator. I honestly tell my students I've "been there, done that, found a way to make it work."

    Never give up.

I was one. I dropped out to join the Army during Viet Nam. While in the Army, I got my GED through the Army education center and later got my degree through the Army Education Center.
    Thanks, Army!

Lots of people, some went on to lead very productive lives. Others, well maybe they should have stayed in school!

Yep. My two nieces dropped out of school, and I think it's a horrible mistake on their part. I told them they'll regret it later. They're planning on taking the GED.
