Hey, you have a very good point. I experience terrible guilt for eating meat. I was a vegetarian for over 10 years and, living with my ex, ended up eating meat again simply because they kept complaining about my not doing so. I am anemic and anorexic, so I am trying to figure out how to give up meat again without landing in the hospital again. I eat very little of it, but I must say I DO prefer hunting over purchasing meet at the supermarket, but only if everyone did it (I dislike mass farming, but I see hunting currently as being wasteful, since so much meat is already available). Sorry for the rant... I feel strongly about this sort of thing. I'm not necessarily against other people eating meat (although it bothers me that I eat it right now), but I'm against the waste that I see... factory farming and overstocked supermarkets with overbreeding and less than ideal conditions for the animals. So, I would prefer seeing people hunt, but, not enough people are willing to hunt to get rid of the demand for supermarkets going nuts stocking meat, so I don't see the point.
Not really, but I have bagged a few wild Skeet and made a Low Country Stew from Clay Pigeons I shot from the sky and brought home. Too crunchy for my taste.
