Mother's Day is almost here, and to celebrate we wanted to give mothers a chance to discuss familial Facebooking, and how social media plays into parenting. Should moms "friend" their kids on Facebook? Do their kids even want to be friended? What do people really think about parents who make Facebook pages for their babies? Do families hide things from each other online? And don't forget, we have demographic breakdowns to shed more light on the answers to those questions.
So whether you're a mom yourself, or simply have a mom, we want to know your thoughts on how social media relates to parenting. When you have a chance, be sure to take our 10-question Mothers and Social Media Quick Poll. And don't forget to send your mom a Mother's Day poke!

I like what this person said: http://www.sodahead.com/livin...
When they reach 18, I am no longer legally responsible for them.
They have no clue that I do either.
My daughter already said she was gonna leave. I got my wallet.. gave her 5 bucks and said there is the door. I will not be held hostage in my own house. I don't ask much of my kids. I expect a lot though.
I have told them I am not here to be your friend. I am here to get you ready for life. I can be your friend as long as you realize I am the parent and what I say goes.
They may not be the most intelligent of kids, but every teacher has stated the are well behaved and a joy to have in class. They respect authority yet know when it crosses the line. When they leave the dinner table they have to excuse themselves. If not they sit for 15 minutes and do the dishes. Just examples.
I went out and started cleaning the pool about 30 minutes later and asked how running away was going? She laughed and said I can't do anything on 5 bucks.
But with that said... A parent should know their kids and their attitudes.
bit more freedom.
If anyone's saying that the internet is causing people to be more discreet about theirselves then I'd totally have to disagree.
Transparency is the best and most benefit yielding conduct.
Enjoy them.
My girls now understand and thank me and my ex now that they have kids.
I will even the score out by teahing my grandkids awful things (just kidding).
